A shot of my beautiful daughter, Pearl Penelope. She’s three and a half months now and getting cuter and cuter by the day. I love taking pictures of her.
I don’t think you can ever take enough photos of babies. They change so quickly that there really is something new every day. So get that camera out and take photos of your baby, capture the moment, capture the memories.
I had such a great time shooting at Trixie’s 4th birthday party yesterday. The theme was Princesses and Pirates and all of the kids looked fantastic, great effort from all the parents. The entertainer also deserves a special mention for her energy in keeping the kids completely spellbound, I don’t know how she does it!

Some shots from a fashion shoot I did recently for online menswear outlet The Buttery Store. These are for their upcoming Autumn/Winter 2011 Look Book. A sterling effort from everyone on the day which looked like it could be a washout but the weather broke and I think we got some great shots.

Ok, so this is my blog. I intend to use this to keep you informed of what I’m up to professionally, discuss photography and write pieces to help you improve your photography.
So what can I say about this photograph of my son, Arthur, laughing in the bath? Well I think bathtime is a great time to take photos of your kids. The white of the bath acts as one big reflector helping to throw a nice even light across their faces. In this shot I bounced the flash off the ceiling, that way you don’t get harsh shaddows which can ruin portrait shots. If you have a flash that doesn’t rotate you can still do this by holding a piece of white card at a 45 degree angle in front of your flash. Give it a try, let me know how you get on.
